How do I register on-line?

Follow the link provided on www.blueandgoldlacrossecamps.com for the camp that you wish to register for. Our on-line registration is outsourced to a third party that only accepts credit card. If you choose to pay by check, you must download a brochure and mail it directly to our office. Payments at registration must be cash or money order. No checks will be accepted two weeks prior to registration and on the day of registration.

How do I know if my application was received?

You will receive confirmation from our office either through the mail or by e-mail. Confirmation will include directions to registrations and any other important information that pertains to registration on the day that camp starts.

What if I cannot download an application on my computer?

Contact our office (516-463-6484 or athcaa@hofstra.edu) and we will e-mail, fax, or mail you an application.

Can I pick my son's roommates for the camp?

Yes, for the Overnight camp only. Hofstra dorms have a suite lay-out. There are two rooms to a suite with two campers per room. You can choose a roommate and also choose suitemates. There are no guarantees, but we try our best to accommodate all applicants. Requests can be made on the application or in a special attachment with the application.

Where will the overnight campers stay?

All overnight campers will stay in dormitories on the Hofstra University campus. Each residence is air conditioned, with bathrooms and showers on each floor. Blue & Gold Lacrosse Camp coaches and counselors will supervise the campers at all times.

What does my son need to bring to camp?

Overnight campers should bring their own pillow, blanket, X long twin sheets and towels. All campers must provide their own equipment, including grass cleats and sneakers, socks, athletic supporter, mouthpiece, t-shirts and shorts.

How will the campers be grouped?

Campers will be grouped on their Skill development based on position and age.

Can we bring fans?

Yes, but it is not necessary. All the dorms are air conditioned.

Can we bring food and drinks?

Yes, but these items are also sold at the camp store. The camp store will be open daily from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase. Water will be available to campers at all times during practice sessions and other on-field activities.

Can I purchase equipment at camp?

Yes. However, the equipment sold at the camp store is limited and varies. You can call in advance to inquire about our stock.

How is the food?

The Hofstra University campus food service will provide a menu of sandwiches, hot entrees, beverages and desserts. Camp meals will be served in one of the campus dining halls. Day campers will be provided with lunch and dinner.

Can my son receive transportation to and from camp to the airport or train station?

Yes. You can arrange for transportation on the application. All details on arrivals and departures must be communicated directly with a staff member.

What if my son loses his dorm key?

There is a $62.00 charge for a lost dorm key and a $125.00 charge for a damaged or lost dorm phone. How do I reach my son in case of an Emergency: During the week of camp only, in case of an emergency, all personnel can be reached at 516-297- 8759 during the day or night.
