Blue
and Gold Lacrosse Camp is conveniently located on the campus
of Hofstra University, a beautiful 240-acre site located in Hempstead,
New York. The James M. Shuart Stadium is one of the premier facilities
in the nation. The recently renovated complex houses 15,000 seats,
a network quality lighting system for television broadcasts,
the Athletic Department office building with a press level and
suite level, concession and souvenir areas, two locker rooms
and a state-of-the-art scoreboard. The lacrosse stadium is the
largest outdoor sports complex on Long Island and one of the
top on-campus intercollegiate sports facilities in the New York
metropolitan area, providing a first-class facility to practice
and play in.
Adjacent to the stadium is Margiotta Hall, featuring a 3,500
square foot weight room, outfitted with the most advanced strength
training equipment available. The athletic training room houses
a hydrotherapy and electrotherapy area, cardiovascular and isokinetic
equipment, as well as a taping area, rehabilitation area, aerobics
room and athletic trainer and physician offices. Margiotta Hall
also contains a spacious locker room, a 178-seat theatre and
meeting rooms.
The James M. Shuart Stadium will proudly be hosting the 2009
NCAA Division I Lacrosse Championship Quarterfinals.
